Coaches
Barry Alldrick is our Head Coach and comes from a background with National Level swimming experience and representation of Great Britain once winning a Gold (200m Fly) and Silver (100m Fly) Medal at the CSSF European Youth Games in Avila, Spain 1995.
He was also an International Lifeguard in the RLSS UK squad and teams over a 5-year period from 1995 – 2000.
Barry brings to the club a multi discipline approach having competed in most swimming disciplines at a high level, including being past South West Open Water Champion, and a founder of the East Dorset Open Water swimming Club. A National Medallist in Masters swimming, and a member of the Dorset Water Polo Committee as well an ASA Tutor for Level 2 for Coaching and Swimming Teaching.
Barry’s experience comes from running Gyms and Learn to Swim Schools, and has qualification to Level 3 in both the Fitness Industry as well as the Swimming Industry.
Barry’s Ethos
Barry has two main aims with in the club:
“The clubs atmosphere will always be fun, family orientated and competitive and will provide a route to the top of National Level swimming for those that have the ability and desire to achieve, as well as programmes that allow swimmers to compete up to county and district standard, and compete in the many interclub leagues in various disciplines that Seagulls competes in.”
