About Us

Seagulls Swimming Club were formed in 1978 & New Milton Torpedoes in 1977. Both successfully operated as separate clubs until their merger on Sept 12th 2006, when the clubs came together to form "Christchurch & New Milton Seagulls" (Seagulls).

Seagulls Swimming Club has a strong and growing membership drawn from all age groups - 7 years & upwards, Seniors (18+) & Masters (25+) and as a result of it's twin bases attracts swimmers from Christchurch, New Milton & the surrounding areas of Dorset & Hants (Barton-on-sea, Bournemouth, Bransgore, Brockenhurst, Burton, Highcliffe, Milford-on-sea, New Milton, Lymington & Verwood).

Seagulls Swimming Club is a competitive swimming club, in that its members are trained to take part in competitive events. As such, all members (except Masters - see our Masters page) are expected to take an active part in the various competitions that are run throughout the year.
The club is currently seeking sponsor(s) to contribute to ensuring that a solid financial foundation is in place which will in turn enable Seagulls SC to build positive medium & long-term plans for the future success of the club.
